Very well said. At the very least, let's make the standards workable and this ITE reiteration goes some way towards doing this. In regards to your point about university resistance, this will be interesting as academic ideological stances do not always dictate how a university seeks to position its degrees. I can definitely see an opportunity for clever university marketing, i.e. 'Best place to learn SOL'. Also, presumably the GTPA will have to change in line with the new core curriculum, meaning universities will be forced otherwise their grads will not pass the Assessment.
